Scopus has released its April 2026 update. The world’s largest abstract and citation database now includes 70 newly accepted journals. This update is critical for every researcher, PhD scholar, and academic institution. What Is the Scopus CSAB Update?
Scopus does not add journals arbitrarily. The Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) reviews journals monthly. It evaluates editorial quality, citation patterns, peer-review standards, and ethical publishing practices. Only journals meeting rigorous criteria earn a place on the list.
This monthly review works both ways. Scopus adds new journals that meet its standards. It simultaneously removes journals that fail to maintain quality. In April 2026, 70 journals were added and 11 were discontinued.
